Job Description

Luqra is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Operations Manager – Payment Processing to oversee and optimize our payment operations, with a specific focus on managing TSYS. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency, security, and compliance of our transaction processing systems while driving continuous improvement in our operational workflows. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with TSYS, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the payments industry, including settlement, reconciliation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day payment operations, ensuring seamless transaction processing and optimal system performance.
  • Manage and optimize TSYS platform configurations, ensuring accurate processing, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Develop and enforce operational best practices to enhance efficiency, security, and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues related to payment processing, working closely with internal teams and TSYS support.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and finance teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Drive process automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve scalability.
  • Work closely with IT and product teams to implement enhancements and troubleshoot system-related issues.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with TSYS, managing vendor relationships, escalations, and platform enhancements.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in payment processing operations, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with TSYS.
  • Strong understanding of transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to lead operational teams and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Experience working with compliance and regulatory frameworks related to payment processing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors.
  • Proficiency in payment processing platforms, operational reporting, and automation tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
